Industrial Bank of Korea announced on the 4th that it had been reselected as Suwon Special City’s next treasury bank.
Industrial Bank of Korea will operate Suwon City Treasury, worth approximately 3.9 trillion won annually, for four years from 2027 through 2030. As the sole treasury bank, it will manage Suwon Special City’s general and special accounts and funds, as well as collect various revenues and make expenditure payments.
“Suwon Special City is a partner that has worked with Industrial Bank of Korea for more than 60 years,” Jang Min-young, president of Industrial Bank of Korea, said. “Building on our accumulated experience in treasury operations and the policy-finance capabilities of a state-owned bank, we will support Suwon’s transformation and the revitalization of the local economy.”
“Industrial Bank of Korea has operated Suwon City Treasury stably for many years and contributed to enhancing the reliability of the city’s fiscal management,” Suwon Special City Mayor Lee Jae-jun said. “We hope that practical cooperation linked to Suwon’s key policies, including improving convenience for residents and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners, will continue.”
