[Financial News]  Lemona, Kyung Nam Pharmaceutical's flagship vitamin C brand, has won Brand of the Year for 21 consecutive years, reaffirming the brand's competitiveness built over more than four decades. Kyung Nam Pharmaceutical plans to expand Lemona's product lineup and distribution channels based on its strong brand recognition, increasing the reach of the long-standing brand.
Kyung Nam Pharmaceutical announced on the 4th that Lemona was selected in the domestic vitamin preparations category at the 2026 Brand of the Year awards. As a result, Lemona extended its winning streak in the category to 21 consecutive years.
Launched in 1983, Lemona is Kyung Nam Pharmaceutical's flagship brand, marking its 43rd year this year. It began as Korea's first powdered vitamin C product and established a distinctive brand image with a product name evoking lemons and yellow packaging.
Kyung Nam Pharmaceutical has recently focused on expanding Lemona's long-accumulated brand recognition beyond a single product into a diverse lineup. Alongside its existing powdered vitamin C products, the company is adding products tailored to consumer trends while broadening its online and offline distribution and marketing touchpoints.
Lemona's expansion strategy is drawing particular attention because, in the consumer goods market, the recognition of a long-standing brand can serve as an asset that lowers the cost of entering the market with new products. Connecting the consumer recognition accumulated over more than 40 years with new products and consumer groups is expected to be key to the brand's future competitiveness.
A Kyung Nam Pharmaceutical official said, "Winning for 21 consecutive years is the result created by consumers who have chosen Lemona over such a long period," adding, "Building on the trust in our existing brand, we will continue expanding our products and marketing to meet consumer demand."
