[Financial News] Samjin Food will open a new brand space, the 'Samjin Fish Cake THE WAVE Gwangalli' pop-up store, in Busan's Gwangalli area.
According to Samjin Food on the 4th, Samjin Fish Cake THE WAVE Gwangalli was designed around the concept of 'a new wave of enjoyment created by Samjin, which began in Busan in 1953, in front of the Gwangalli sea.'
The space was designed so visitors can enjoy Samjin Fish Cake while looking out over Gwangalli Beach and Gwangan Bridge. It also features a main entrance terrace and photo zones, allowing visitors to experience the space itself as a form of content.
Rather than following the existing fish cake bakery format, the pop-up puts collaborative content and activities that reflect Gwangalli's local character at the forefront.
Signature menu items include a giant cheese stick, as well as Gim-bok-bap Fish Cake Balls and So-bok-bap Fish Cake Balls, which combine fish cake with kimchi fried rice and beef fried rice, respectively. The store will also offer Danhobak Snowflake Patbingsu, developed in collaboration with Yonghodong Halmae Patbingsu, along with signature beverages created with Fuzzy Navel, a tropical cocktail bar brand from Busan.
The pop-up will also operate as a lifestyle content space where customers can experience the brand in a new way, rather than simply as a retail outlet.
This month, it will run a running crew program in collaboration with RACEMENT, a specialty running store brand. The program will draw on Gwangalli's running and activity culture to turn a store visit into an experience and content, while allowing participants to naturally experience the brand through products and merchandise provided to them.
A special promotion will also be held to mark the opening on the 5th. Three signature menu items—the giant cheese stick, So-bok-bap Fish Cake Ball, and Gim-bok-bap Fish Cake Ball—will each be offered at 1,000 won, limited to 100 units per item per day.
Park Yong-jun, CEO of Samjin Fish Cake, said, "THE WAVE Gwangalli will continue to present brand collaborations and lifestyle content that distinguish it from existing stores, showing customers visiting Gwangalli a new side of Samjin Fish Cake."
