Vance Warns, "There Will Be No Talks with Iran Until It Stops Attacking Ships"

[Financial News] The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump has taken a firm position that it will not resume any dialogue or negotiations with Iran unless Iran stops attacking civilian and commercial vessels.
At a White House briefing in Washington, D.C., on the 3rd (local time), U.S. Vice President JD Vance made clear that there would be no negotiations as long as Iran continued shelling commercial vessels.
He told reporters that resolving the situation in the Strait of Hormuz was "a question you should ask Iran."
Vice President Vance declined to set a timeline for the war with Iran.
Asked whether the war with Iran would be resolved before the U.S. midterm elections in November, Vance replied, "There is currently no exchange of fire," adding, "I don't want to call it a war."
Vice President Vance emphasized that Washington was keeping every available means on the table to resolve the conflict. He noted, "Economic pressure, military pressure, diplomatic pressure, and even pressure behind closed doors—all options are on the table."
However, Vice President Vance withheld details about which response Donald Trump would ultimately choose, citing security concerns.
Meanwhile, Iranian state media reported that the number of Iranian military personnel killed in recent U.S. airstrikes had reached 13.
Tasnim News Agency reported that six additional people had been killed, including three pilots, but did not disclose the exact locations affected.
