[Financial News] The market value of the Han River-view apartment in Heukseok-dong, Dongjak District, Seoul, where BigBang’s Daesung has lived for more than 10 years, is reportedly nearly seven times its purchase price. The unit, bought for approximately KRW 1.45 billion in 2015, is now said to be worth around KRW 10 billion.
A video titled “BigBang’s Daesung, a KRW 100 billion asset holder, and his Han River-view apartment: Heukseok Mark Hills (a.k.a. the prime spot for the fireworks festival)” was recently uploaded to the “wander planet” YouTube channel.
According to the video, Daesung purchased a unit in a Han River-view apartment complex in Heukseok-dong, Dongjak District, Seoul, in the summer of 2015. The unit, with an exclusive area of 275 square meters, or approximately 85 pyeong, was purchased for about KRW 1.45 billion. Its current market value is reportedly around KRW 10 billion.
The apartment offers a wide view of the Han River from the living room and is considered one of the prime spots for watching the Seoul International Fireworks Festival. Jang Dong-gun and Ko So-young previously used it as their newlywed home, and Hyun Bin lived there for about 11 years. Former national figure skating team member Yuna Kim, Forestella’s Ko Woo-rim, and singer-actress Krystal Jung are reportedly among its current residents.
The market value of a building owned by Daesung has also reportedly risen sharply since its purchase. In November 2017, he bought the building, which has two basement levels and nine floors above ground and is located along a main road in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul, for KRW 31 billion. Its current market value is said to have surpassed KRW 90 billion.
Meanwhile, BigBang, the group to which Daesung belongs, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
