Korea University Produces 197 CPA Passers, Highest Among Universities for 11 Consecutive Years

[Financial News] Korea University (KU) announced on the 3rd that 197 students passed the 61st Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination, giving it the highest number of passers among universities.
According to tallies by accounting firms and universities, 197 KU students passed this year's CPA examination, an increase of 26 from the previous year. KU said it has produced the highest number of passers among universities for 11 consecutive years since 2016.
A total of 1,150 candidates were selected for the CPA examination this year, down by 50 from 1,200 the previous year. KU passers accounted for approximately 17% of all successful candidates, or about one in six. This year's figure surpassed the 188 recorded in 2024 and was the highest since 2016.
KU operates Jeongjincho, a CPA preparation program run by its College of Business Administration. The program is open not only to business administration students but also to students from other departments. The university provides study spaces, online lecture fees, scholarships, and practice mock examinations, while also operating an online community and a mentoring program with successful candidates.
A KU official stated, "Producing the highest number of CPA passers among universities for 11 consecutive years is the result of the combined efforts of students and faculty, along with the university's support." The official added, "We will continue supporting the development of professionals in finance and accounting."
