A Twosome Place to Open Its First U.S. Store in Virginia Next Month, Marking North American Entry After 24 Years

[Financial News] A Twosome Place will open its first store in Virginia next month as it begins targeting the United States market.
A Twosome Place held a press briefing at Conrad Seoul in Yeouido, Seoul, on the 3rd, officially announcing its entry into the United States market.
This marks the brand’s first challenge in the United States, approximately 24 years after its establishment in 2002. A Twosome Place plans to open its first store in Alexandria, Virginia, near Washington, D.C., in October and target the North American market with its strength in desserts.
Alexandria is close to Washington, D.C., and is considered a popular area among local residents because it offers a range of lifestyles, including residential, leisure and dining options. Old Town’s King Street, where the first store will be located, is one of Alexandria’s signature streets and a popular destination for tourists and locals.
The first store will operate as an “all-day café,” offering coffee, desserts and meal options.
In addition to coffee, the store will offer signature cakes such as Strawberry Chocolate Fresh Cream Cake and Abak (Icebox), along with cakes made using Korean ingredients including dalgona, black sesame and injeolmi.
The store will also offer beverages such as Korean Apple Cinnamon Tea and Misutgaru Frappe, as well as U.S.-exclusive meal options—including toast made with bulgogi and eggs and bulgogi bibimbap bowls—aimed at local consumers who favor K-food.
Starting with its first U.S. store, A Twosome Place plans to establish a foothold in key areas including Washington, D.C., and Virginia, laying the foundation for growth in the United States. From 2028, it will begin expanding globally in earnest, drawing on its business experience and brand-management capabilities accumulated in the United States.
