[Financial News] Hyundai Department Store will hold its main sale of 2026 Chuseok gift sets from the 4th through the 24th at the food halls of 16 stores nationwide and its official online mall.
According to Hyundai Department Store on the 3rd, the event will feature about 1,500 gift products, including meat, seafood, fruits and vegetables, alcoholic beverages, and lifestyle products.
To meet growing demand for premium cuisine and the trend toward simpler holiday celebrations, the company has prepared 120,000 Korean beef gift sets—the largest-ever volume and a 10% increase from last year. It has also significantly expanded its Sodam Set line of small-pack meat gift sets, which can be divided and enjoyed whenever needed. For the first time this Chuseok, it will offer a premium product featuring top-grade 1++ Korean beef and 12 specialty cuts, individually packaged in 200-gram portions.
Hyundai Department Store has further tightened its sweetness and quality standards for fruit gift sets. Reflecting demand for premium fruit desserts, it will introduce the H Sweet High-Sugar Peach Set for the first time, featuring peaches with a sugar content of at least 15 Brix. The supply of mixed-fruit sets has also been increased by more than 30% from last year.
Following its distinctive gourmet gift sets created in collaboration with influencers and renowned chefs, the company will offer a wider range of lifestyle collaboration products and high-end gifts. These include Swarovski X Olive Oil, featuring Swarovski crystals on its packaging, and Antonio Marras X Olive Oil, which uses packaging featuring a drawing by the Italian fashion designer.
Hyundai Department Store will also provide an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered gift recommendation service. Through Heidi, its AI shopping assistant, customers can receive interactive Chuseok gift recommendations at offline stores or through The Hyundai Hi online mall. After customers enter details such as the occasion, budget, and recipient's age group, Heidi suggests gift sets that match their criteria.
Jang Woo-seok, executive vice president and head of Hyundai Department Store's food business division, said, "In response to increasingly diverse holiday gift trends and more segmented customer needs, we planned distinctive gift sets unique to Hyundai Department Store, ranging from small-pack Korean beef sets and gourmet products created in collaboration with influencers to art collaboration sets." He added, "We plan to manage every step carefully, from preparing inventory to taking orders and delivering them, so that gifts carrying heartfelt sentiments can be delivered intact."
