[Financial News] Lotte Homeshopping has obtained ISO 41001:2018 - Facility management certification, becoming the first company in the home-shopping industry to do so. The company plans to align its facility-management system with international standards at its headquarters, where broadcasting production and transmission facilities operate alongside office spaces, thereby enhancing the stability of its broadcasting operations.
According to industry sources on the 3rd, ISO 41001:2018 - Facility management is an international facility-management standard established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in 2018. Its core objectives are to standardize facility-management systems and operating procedures, improve facility stability and operational efficiency, and reflect users’ needs.
Lotte Homeshopping pursued the certification this year, taking into account the characteristics of its headquarters, where broadcasting equipment operates around the clock. It holds monthly meetings with its facility-management service provider to review facility conditions and action plans, while also centrally managing the records of key equipment, including water chillers, refrigeration units, and emergency generators.
Based on the life-cycle cost (LCC) of each piece of equipment, the company manages inspection and maintenance schedules and takes preventive measures against facility risks that could affect broadcasting operations. It plans to continuously improve related management procedures to enhance operational efficiency and facility safety.
