Oh Se-hoon Inspects Safety Measures at Seoul International Fireworks Festival Site

[Financial News] Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon conducted an on-site safety inspection on October 3, one day before the Seoul International Fireworks Festival. Oh toured the area around Yeouido Hangang Park, the main venue for the event, and reviewed crowd-management measures, the safety-support plan, and facility safety.
Oh said, "As the fireworks festival will be held over two days for the first time this year, we expect more people to attend than ever before. The Seoul Metropolitan Government, police, fire authorities, and autonomous districts will activate comprehensive measures to ensure there are no gaps in safety management."
Seoul has prepared comprehensive measures covering transportation, safety, and visitor convenience for the Seoul International Fireworks Festival. It will deploy 6,800 safety personnel during the event and restrict traffic on some roads to prevent accidents caused by crowding.
The 22nd Seoul International Fireworks Festival 2026 with Hanwha is a large-scale event that attracts more than one million people every year. This year’s pre-event will be held on October 4, followed by the main event on October 5.
