LOTTE INNOVATE Expands Data Center Value Chain, Wins Successive Contracts to Operate IGIS Asset Management’s Data Centers

[Financial News] As demand for data centers rapidly grows with the spread of artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud services, LOTTE INNOVATE is expanding its value chain from supplying IT equipment to data center design, construction, and operation (DBO).
On the 3rd, LOTTE INNOVATE said it had expanded its cooperation with IGIS Asset Management to large-scale data centers. The company won a contract to operate the Ansan-si data center after signing a DBO contract for an edge data center with IGIS Asset Management in February. The Ansan-si data center will have two basement levels and nine above-ground floors, with a power capacity of approximately 40 MW.
LOTTE INNOVATE has built and operated four data centers in Seoul, Yongin, and Daejeon, accumulating approximately 20 years of expertise. Through colocation services, which accommodate customers’ servers and other IT equipment in stable power, cooling, and security environments, the company has met the needs of various customers, including global companies, and demonstrated its capabilities in providing reliable and secure data center services.
LOTTE INNOVATE’s own data centers are also being used as infrastructure for AI technology research and demonstration. The company is advancing the technologies and service capabilities required for high-density AI infrastructure environments, including by supporting Ajou University’s industry-academic cooperation consortium in carrying out a project to develop thermal management technology for carbon neutrality in data centers.
Its track record in external projects is also growing rapidly. After winning a contract to operate a data center for Kamsquare in December 2025, LOTTE INNOVATE signed a DBO contract for an edge data center with IGIS Asset Management in February this year. With the latest contract to operate a data center with a capacity of approximately 40 MW, the company is expanding its business into large-scale data centers.
LOTTE INNOVATE plans to expand DBO and outsourced operation projects for external customers and strengthen its portfolio across projects of various sizes and purposes, from edge data centers to AI and hyperscale data centers. It also plans to advance an end-to-end business system linking IT equipment procurement, design and construction, and operation services, while strengthening its technological competitiveness in areas needed for high-density AI infrastructure, including high-efficiency air-conditioning and cooling solutions.
Kim Geun-bae, executive vice president of LOTTE INNOVATE’s Cloud Division, said, "This contract is significant because our cooperation with IGIS Asset Management has expanded from edge data center DBO to the operation of a large-scale data center." We will turn our track record in operating large-scale data centers into new business opportunities and follow-up contracts, and foster data centers as a core growth business for the company."
