Busan Environmental Corporation Provides Emergency Recovery Support in Geoje, Designated a Special Disaster Area

[Financial News] The Busan Environmental Corporation announced that it visited Dundeok-myeon in Geoje, South Gyeongsang Province, on the 3rd and carried out emergency flood-recovery support activities. The area was declared a special disaster area after suffering extensive damage from recent torrential rains.
The support effort was organized to help the heavily damaged area quickly return to normal life and enable residents to resume their livelihoods after record-breaking rainfall.
About 30 employees voluntarily joined the field effort that day. They focused on removing soil from major damaged sites, including flooded fish farms, repairing roads, and moving water-damaged goods and equipment.
Working with local governments and agencies involved at the site, the corporation prioritized assigning personnel to flood-damaged facilities that could not recover on their own, accelerating the restoration process. Building on this effort, it plans to further strengthen a field-oriented support system that links its personnel and environmental management capabilities when major disasters occur in the future.
Lee Geun-hee, president of the corporation, said, "I extend my deepest sympathy to the residents affected by the sudden torrential rains, who have endured great distress." He added, "I hope the employees' valuable efforts will provide strong support for a swift return to daily life and livelihoods. We will continue to take the lead in helping local communities overcome crises and fulfill our social responsibilities as a public corporation."
