Chairman Park Jang-sun Donates an Additional KRW 1 Billion to KAU to Support Future Aerospace Talent

[Financial News] Chairman Park Jang-sun, founder of printing and cultural-content company Today Art, has donated an additional KRW 1 billion in development funds to Korea Aerospace University (KAU). This is his second donation following his KRW 1 billion contribution in 2024, bringing his cumulative donations to KAU to KRW 2 billion.
Park attended the opening ceremony of the Park Jang-sun Lounge at the KAU Academic Information Center on the 3rd and pledged an additional KRW 1 billion in development funds. "I wanted to contribute because I hope students can study to their hearts' content in a better environment," he said. He added, "I hope this donation will provide even a small measure of support as future talent who will lead the development of the aerospace sector pursue their dreams here."
Park built his company by pioneering the K-POP album and merchandise package market. He is now an established business leader who serves as vice chairman of the Korea Federation of SMEs (KBIZ) and chairman of the Korea Federation of Printing Cooperatives. Demonstrating his commitment to continuously supporting the development of talent in aerospace, a key industry of the future, he made another major KRW 1 billion commitment just two years later.
The Park Jang-sun Lounge, which opened that day, is a student-centered multifunctional space created by renovating the first-floor lobby of the KAU Academic Information Center with Park's first donation in 2024. It includes a study zone where students can focus on their studies together, a beanbag area for relaxation, and an interview zone to help students prepare for job interviews in real-world settings.
The opening ceremony was attended by Park, President Hur Hee-young, senior university administrators, and student representatives.
President Hur Hee-young responded, "Chairman Park Jang-sun's generous support and valuable development funds have become a major driving force behind KAU's advancement." He added, "We will honor his noble intentions for many years to come and operate the lounge as a meaningful haven where students can nurture their dreams for the future."
Meanwhile, the relationship between KAU and Park continues to lead to the expansion of educational infrastructure. When Park made his first donation in 2024, KAU named the auditorium on the first floor of its Small and Medium Venture Development Support Center the Today Art Hall and opened it as an educational and cultural space for local children and teenagers. In July 2025, the university also awarded Park an honorary doctorate in business administration in recognition of his contributions to entrepreneurship and social responsibility.
