Planus Language Academy Successfully Concludes AI-Enhanced English Writing Contest

[Financial News] Planus Language Academy, Kyowon Group’s English academy for elementary and middle school students, announced on the 3rd that it had successfully concluded the “2026 English Writing Contest,” which incorporated artificial intelligence (AI) learning technology. About 1,600 students from across the country participated in the inaugural contest, drawing considerable attention.
The contest was notable for the active use of edtech during the preparation process. Participants used the online learning platform’s AI Writing Feedback Service to receive writing feedback regardless of time or location. They were evaluated as having improved their practical writing skills by correcting weaknesses and repeatedly rewriting their work based on the AI’s immediate feedback.
Open to students enrolled at the academy from third grade of elementary school through second grade of middle school, the competition selected 16 winners through a comprehensive evaluation of content organization, clarity, and English expression. The winners included one grand prize recipient, nine gold prize recipients, and six special prize recipients. They received prizes and benefits worth a total of 2 million won.
A Planus Language Academy official said, "The contest gave students an opportunity to express in writing the English skills they had learned and to assess their abilities for themselves." The official added, "We will continue offering a variety of educational programs so that students can build practical English competitiveness."
Meanwhile, Kyowon Group’s Planus Language Academy provides integrated English education that combines practical English, centered on writing and reading as English as a Second Language (ESL), with test-preparation English, focused on grammar and vocabulary as English as a Foreign Language (EFL). The academy helps students prepare for school exams while improving their overall language skills.
