KR Donates KRW 110 Million in School Development Funds to Elementary, Middle and High Schools in Busan’s Gangseo District

[Financial News] Korean Register (KR) said on the 3rd that it had donated a total of KRW 110 million in school development funds to elementary, middle and high schools in Myeongji International City and Sinho-dong, Gangseo District, Busan, to support local students’ learning and growth.
The funds were distributed at KRW 10 million each to 11 schools in Myeongji International City and Sinho-dong, including Myeongmun Elementary School.
The donated funds will be used in various ways to improve each school’s educational environment and promote student welfare, including expanding and upgrading educational facilities, purchasing educational equipment and books, and supporting sports and arts activities.
KR provides school development funds every year so that schools and students near its headquarters in Gangseo District, Busan, can prepare for the future in a better educational environment.
KR Senior Executive Vice President Choi Won-jun said, "KR’s key missions include supporting technology in the maritime and shipbuilding industries and promoting shared growth with local communities. We hope these school development funds will make a tangible contribution to improving students’ learning environments, and we will continue various social contribution activities to nurture future talent."
Meanwhile, KR is taking the lead in fulfilling its corporate social responsibility through various social contribution activities, including scholarship programs for elementary, middle and high school students as well as university and graduate students, support for restoring damage caused by disasters and calamities, and sponsorship of organizations working to promote shared growth in the maritime industry.
