LH Daegu–Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters Invites People with Disabilities and Their Families to Professional Baseball Game as Part of Social Contribution Activity

【Financial News, Daegu = Reporter Kim Jang-wook】The LH Daegu–Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters of Korea Land and Housing Corporation, together with the Gyeongsangbuk-do Sports Association for the Disabled, invited 120 people with disabilities from Gyeongsan and their family members to Daegu Samsung Lions Park on the 2nd to watch a professional baseball game as part of a social contribution activity.
The activity was organized to provide an enjoyable leisure experience for families with disabilities, whose opportunities to participate in cultural and sports activities may be relatively limited due to mobility conditions and financial burdens.
Oh Seong-jun, acting head of the LH Daegu–Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters, emphasized, "Seeing families laugh and cheer together allowed us to reaffirm the vitality that sports bring and the meaning of sharing." He added, "We will continue to work closely with the local community and pursue social contribution activities that promote cultural enjoyment and improve the everyday welfare of families with disabilities."
Participants watched and cheered for the game with their families, spending time communicating and sharing energy away from their daily routines.
Lee Seong-ho, secretary-general of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Sports Association for the Disabled, said, "We thank the LH Daegu–Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters for working consistently with us since 2016 to improve sports welfare for people with disabilities." He added, "We will continue to expand opportunities for people with disabilities to communicate with society through sports and enjoy healthy lives."
The LH Daegu–Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters and the Gyeongsangbuk-do Sports Association for the Disabled have cooperated since 2016 to promote sports for people with disabilities and expand opportunities to enjoy sports culture. Along with baseball outings such as this one, the two organizations continue to pursue various activities that enable people with disabilities and their families to participate and interact together in the local community.
Meanwhile, as a public institution specializing in housing welfare, the LH Daegu–Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters continues community-based social contribution activities for various groups, including people with disabilities, older adults and children, going beyond housing support.
Going forward, it plans to work with relevant local organizations to expand opportunities to participate in cultural and sports activities and help spread the values of inclusion throughout the community.
