[Financial News] Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP) will operate the Korea Design Pavilion at the world's largest consumer electronics and technology exhibition, 'IFA 2026,' held in Berlin, Germany, from the 4th to the 8th.
According to the design industry on the 3rd, IFA is considered one of the world's three largest consumer electronics and technology exhibitions, along with the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in the United States and Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Spain. It is a business platform where innovative technologies, startups, and new products come together, attracting more than 200,000 global buyers and visitors every year.
A total of 17 companies are participating in the Korea Design Pavilion, now in its second year, including 13 manufacturing companies showcasing design-driven innovative products and four specialized design firms with world-class design consulting capabilities.
Among the manufacturers, DH Global is presenting a product that reinterprets an existing soju refrigerator as a compact 150-liter kimchi refrigerator, incorporating high-efficiency cooling, precise temperature control, and low-noise design technologies.
U2 System is leveraging its UX research and development capabilities to present 'Purisu Plus,' a design-driven innovative product that purifies contaminated water using a pumping-type filter.
Design firm Above, drawing on its experience participating in the development of 'Moovin Tracing,' a motion-capture solution by startup Moovin, which developed the world's first system combining LiDAR sensors and artificial intelligence (AI), plans to assess global demand and expand opportunities for collaboration with overseas clients at the exhibition.
BDCI, Second White, and Intensive are also participating.
Kang Yoon-ju, president of the Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP), said, "IFA is an important opportunity for Korean companies to showcase their innovative design products and capabilities to the global market," adding, "We will actively support domestic companies so that they can expand their opportunities for global cooperation."
