LG Uplus said on the 3rd that it will set up a special section on U+tv during the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival, showcasing major programs as well as music films, performances and other content.
The 22nd Jecheon International Music & Film Festival will be held from today through the 8th at venues across Jecheon, North Chungcheong Province. This year’s festival will present 189 films from 51 countries and performances by 37 teams. Jecheon Culture Theater, the main screening venue, will expand from four to seven screens.
Through the partnership, LG Uplus will introduce the festival’s major programs and works to U+tv customers. It will also hold customer invitation events during the festival, giving audiences opportunities to experience it in person.
The Jecheon International Music & Film Festival Special Section will curate music films and performance- and arts-related content available on U+tv to match the festival’s character. It is designed to allow customers who cannot visit the festival to enjoy content combining music and film through their televisions.
On the opening day, U+tv Magazine, a U+tv content-curation program, will air a special episode on the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival. Festival executive director Jang Hang-jun, announcer Park Sun-young and Cine21 editor-in-chief Kyung-won Song will appear to introduce this year’s major screenings and programs, along with behind-the-scenes stories from the festival.
Oh In-ho, an executive responsible for the media business at LG Uplus, said, "Through our partnership with the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival, we want to help more customers easily access cultural and arts content that combines music and film. We will continue expanding cooperation with cultural and arts institutions in Korea and abroad to provide customers with differentiated content experiences."
