Haeundae District, Busan to Host Special Lecture on Youth and Population with Professor Go Woo-rim

[Financial News] Haeundae District, Busan announced on the 3rd that it will host a special lecture on population issues, titled "Youth: Reading the Future Through Population," at the Haeundae Cultural Center on the afternoon of the 19th, featuring Professor Go Woo-rim.
Professor Go Woo-rim of the Seoul National University Population Policy Center will serve as the lecturer and is scheduled to share insights into demographic change and future society.
While discussions of population decline have so far focused on warning about the social burdens that the younger generation will have to bear, this lecture will reexamine demographic change from the perspective of opportunity, moving beyond conventional views.
Professor Go previously argued in his co-authored book, *Population and Wealth*, that ongoing changes in the population structure could instead create new opportunities for wealth. He also said that attention should focus not on population extinction itself, but on how to design the future.
Anyone aged 19 to 39 can attend the lecture free of charge. Registration will open on the 4th through the integrated reservation page on the Haeundae District website, with applications accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
A district official said, "Population change is a key issue that directly affects young people's jobs and lives," adding, "We hope this lecture will serve as an opportunity for young people to find their own opportunities amid changes in the future."
