[Financial News] Shin & Kim LLC recruited Han Ki-soo, a former High Court Judge of the Seoul High Court (Judicial Research and Training Institute Class 33)pictureand is moving to strengthen its corporate criminal and civil and criminal litigation practices.
Attorney Han served as a judge for approximately 20 years, from 2004 to 2024. He worked at the Seoul High Court, Seoul Central District Court, Seoul Southern District Court, the Anyang Branch of Suwon District Court, and Gwangju District Court, handling trials in various fields including civil, criminal, and family law.
He was in charge of judicial administration related to criminal trials as a Judicial Support Review Officer at the National Court Administration and also served as the Public Relations Officer for the Seoul High Court. During his tenure as a judge, he was named an Outstanding Judge by the Gyeonggi Central Bar Association.
Attorney Han joined Kim & Chang in 2024 after leaving the court as a judge specializing in criminal and election cases at the Seoul High Court. Since then, he has handled corporate and white-collar crimes, criminal cases related to serious accidents and industrial safety and health, construction and real estate disputes, and family and inheritance litigation.
Shin & Kim LLC plans to expand its litigation capabilities, including corporate criminal cases and various civil and criminal lawsuits, with the addition of Attorney Han. In particular, based on his trial experience during his tenure as a judge and his experience handling disputes at a major law firm, he is expected to contribute to cases involving complex issues, such as corporate and financial disputes and criminal cases.

Those active in the litigation sector include Lee Hyun-bok, former Presiding Judge of the Criminal Division at the Seoul Central District Court; Yoon Jun-seok, former Presiding Judge of the Jeongeup Branch of the Jeonju District Court; Managing Partner Choi Chang-young; Attorney Cho Chan-young, a former High Court Judge at the Seoul High Court; Attorney Kim Se-jong, formerly of the National Court Administration; and Attorney Kwon Yang-hee.
