Yura Named Melon Track Zero’s Artist of the Month for September

[Financial News] Melon has selected Yura as its Artist of the Month for September through Track Zero, an indie-music promotion project. The platform aims to contribute to the shared growth of the music industry through the only indie-music support program in Korea’s music-streaming platform sector.
According to industry sources on the 3rd, Track Zero is an indie-music promotion project that introduces hidden gems and artists to the public through playlists carefully curated by expert committee members.
Yura won the Best R&B and Soul Song award at the 21st Korean Music Awards for “A Face That Looks Roasted Is Your Motif,” a track from her first full-length album. Her 2019 EP “B side” was also selected by Melon as a classic album.
Released in July, the EP “Brush” consists of five songs that weave together the past, present and future in track order.
Melon Track Zero will also unveil a recommended playlist for Yura, selected by its expert committee members.
Meanwhile, Track Zero, launched by Melon in April 2022, selects an Artist of the Month and Recommended New Songs of the Month and announces them through the main screen of its mobile app.
The Artist of the Month selection is open to artists who have released music in Korea. Track Zero’s recommended new songs are selected from tracks released within the past three to four months.
