[Financial News] Daewoo Engineering & Construction announced on the 3rd that it is collaborating with global landscape and urban design group Stoss Landscape Urbanism to win the Sinwol Siyeong Apartments reconstruction project in Seoul's Yangcheon District. The company plans to transform the site into a future-oriented residential space.
According to the company, Stoss Landscape Urbanism proposed 'Sinwol Eight Scenic Views' as a specialized landscaping concept for the Sinwol Siyeong reconstruction project. The concept centers on creating eight garden landscapes, each with a distinct appeal, throughout the complex by reinterpreting the beautiful natural scenery of the Yangcheon area during the Joseon Dynasty in a modern way.
Specifically, one example is the creation of 'Luminous Stream,' where water features and artistic sculptures are combined at the center of the complex, and 'Waterfall Valley,' a resort-style water-featured valley space.
A company official stated, "Through this collaboration, we plan to create distinctive landscaping value in the Sinwol Siyeong reconstruction project. We will develop a landmark residential complex where nature, art and community exist in harmony, providing association members with a new residential experience and a sense of pride." The Sinwol Siyeong Apartments reconstruction project involves replacing the existing 2,256-unit apartment complex with a new development of 3,155 units, rising up to 21 stories.
