[Financial News] Busan Transportation Corporation announced on the 3rd that it had produced promotional video content on urban rail usage rules with local university students. The content will be released to the public through online and offline channels, including the corporation’s official social media accounts, such as its YouTube channel, as well as destination information displays and customer information devices at stations and electronic route information display monitors on trains.
Local university students participated in the project from planning through production.
The animation produced by Silla University students features the corporation’s characters, Burei and Tabio, and covers three topics: how to evacuate in the event of a fire on a train, guidance on air-conditioning operation on trains, and prohibited items at stations and on trains. The fire evacuation video presents five easy-to-remember steps so that passengers can respond quickly if a fire breaks out. The air-conditioning and prohibited-items videos provide useful information for urban rail passengers.
The “Watch Your Heart” campaign video produced by Dongseo University students is set against the backdrop of a person going to meet a romantic partner and wittily highlights the risk of safety accidents on platforms. It delivers safety rules through memorable phrases addressing the dangers of stepping into the gap at the platform edge, falling on stairs, and forcing one’s way onto a train: “Even if you fall in love, don’t fall onto the tracks,” “Take love slowly, and take the stairs slowly too,” and “Love is about timing; for boarding, catch the next train.”
Lee Byung-jin, president of Busan Transportation Corporation, said, "By incorporating the fresh perspectives and creative ideas of local university students, we have been able to communicate urban rail usage rules more effectively." He added, "We will continue to present a variety of promotional content that citizens can relate to through collaboration with local universities and relevant organizations."
