[Financial News] Kyochon F&B Co., Ltd. has set out to promote Korean chicken culture by running 'Kyochon 1991 School,' a chicken cooking experience program for international students.
According to industry sources on the 3rd, Kyochon F&B Co., Ltd. held a brand experience program called 'Kyochon 1991 School' on the 24th at Kyochon Chicken's Songjeong branch in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, for 22 Vietnamese students and faculty members from the Department of Hotel Culinary Arts at Andong Science College.
This program was organized to expand engagement with young foreigners who have a strong interest in Korean cuisine and K-food, and to promote the history and value of Kyochon as a representative K-chicken brand.
In particular, the event held at the Songjeong branch in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, where Kyochon's history began, carried special significance. The Songjeong branch is the first store where Kyochon took its first steps under the name 'Kyochon Tongdak,' and it is a space that symbolizes Kyochon's 35-year brand heritage.
Following theoretical instruction on Kyochon's growth and Korean chicken culture, the students participated in a hands-on cooking session. They experienced Kyochon's unique cooking method of brushing sauce onto each piece of chicken and learned about the culinary philosophy the company has upheld for many years.
A Vietnamese student who participated in the program said, "As a culinary major, it was interesting to experience Kyochon's unique cooking method and the process by which its products are completed firsthand," adding, "Based on this experience, I want to study Korean chicken culture and cooking methods in greater depth and continue learning in ways that will help with my future career."
Kyochon 1991 School is Kyochon's signature cooking experience program. Starting with domestic customers in 2023, the program expanded its participation to overseas tourists this year.
Kyochon plans to expand its engagement with global customers by continuing to operate Kyochon 1991 School for foreigners from various countries and regions, including Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, and Vietnam.
"It was meaningful to be able to directly introduce Kyochon's brand story and K-chicken culture to Vietnamese students at the first Kyochon store in Gumi, where Kyochon's history began," an official from Kyochon F&B Co., Ltd. explained. "We will continue to expand experiential opportunities so that customers from various countries can directly experience Kyochon's unique taste, cooking philosophy, and brand value."
