[Financial News] NAVER is partnering with JW Marriott hotels to offer limited menus by Michelin-starred chefs. The initiative aims to make hotel dining more accessible to users and provide them with special culinary experiences. NAVER plans to work with various partners, including hotels and fine-dining establishments, to expand the NAVER Booking ecosystem and offer differentiated booking experiences.
According to industry sources on the 3rd, NAVER will roll out a promotion exclusively for JW Marriott bookings from September through November.
The promotion will take place sequentially at three Marriott hotels—starting with Marriott Seoul on the 10th, followed by locations in Jeju and Dongdaemun—and will continue for approximately three months through November 30.
At each hotel, participating chefs will include Kang Min-cheol of Kang Min-cheol Restaurant and GiwaKang, Lee Jun of Soigne, Kwon Woo Joong of Kwonsooksoo, and Won Jin-hee and Choi Hyun-ah of GAGGEN by Choi Junho. Together with chefs affiliated with the Marriott hotels, they will present special course meals prepared around their respective themes.
On the first day of each location’s event, the chef responsible for the menu will attend in person and host a special gala dinner. The menu will then be served at the hotel’s representative restaurant for approximately one month.
An overview and detailed information about the events can be found on each hotel’s NAVER Place listing. Applications to participate are available through NAVER Booking.
NAVER has been actively expanding its partnerships by enhancing customized features for different industries for external partners linked to and using NAVER Booking, while also running promotions designed to help partners sustain their growth.
As of June, the cumulative number of bookings made through partners linked to NAVER Booking stood at approximately 115 million, up about 14% from the same period last year. The transaction value of purchases completed by partner users after going through NAVER Booking also increased by approximately 15% year on year.
Lee Se-hoon, a leader in NAVER Place business planning, said, "NAVER Booking aims to continuously expand its service offerings so that users can more easily discover and enjoy special experiences beyond everyday visits to places."
