[Financial News] Samsung Welstory has published a book covering the history of pizza, its ingredients, domestic and international market trends, and expert interviews.
According to Samsung Welstory on the 3rd, it published 'Pizza Expedition,' the fifth installment in its Food Digging Book series.
Pizza Expedition provides detailed information on the types and roles of key ingredients—including dough, sauces, cheese, and toppings—along with the characteristics of pizzas from different countries, ranging from Naples-style pizza, the Italian birthplace of pizza, to Detroit-style, Argentine-style, and Korean-style pizza.
The book also captures firsthand expertise from the foodservice industry through interviews with representatives of major domestic and international pizza restaurants, food manufacturers, and importers. It highlights, among other examples, the differentiation strategy of Motor City, the first company to introduce Detroit-style pizza to Korea, as well as the menu development case of ebt Pizza, which incorporates distinctive ingredients such as gochujang butter and jambon into traditional wood-fired pizza.
It also includes the characteristics and applications of key products—including tomato sauce, balsamic cream, and olive oil—from the Italian brand Vitto, which Samsung Welstory exclusively supplies to the business-to-business (B2B) market.
A Samsung Welstory representative said, "We will develop the insights gained through the book into new products and solutions to strengthen our client companies' menu competitiveness and support their continued business growth."
