Jo Maeryeok, Who Announced His Marriage to Song Ha-ye, Reveals He Was Hacked on Social Media

[Financial News] Creator and singer Jo Maeryeok, whose real name is Jo Jang-woo, said his social media account had been hacked and asked people to unfollow it.
On the first, Jo Maeryeok uploaded a video titled “That’s Not Me” to his YouTube channel.
In the video, Jo Maeryeok said, “Everyone, please unfollow my Twitter (now X) account.”
Jo Maeryeok also explained when he last accessed the account. “The last time I logged in was around September or October last year. It was when I went to film ‘Duet Across the Sea,’” he said. “I posted something to attract an audience, and that was it, but for the past few days, strange posts urging people to invest have been appearing.”
He said there was also something unusual when he tried to recover the account. Jo Maeryeok explained, “When I tried to recover my X account, the email address linked to it had been completely changed. It starts with characters I have never seen before.”
Jo Maeryeok said investment-related posts continued to appear on his Twitter account even after he posted a notice announcing a break from broadcasts. He reacted in confusion, saying, “What is going on right now? What am I supposed to do?”
Born in 1994, Jo Maeryeok is 31 years old and a YouTuber with 1.04 million subscribers. He recently announced his marriage to singer Song Ha-ye, who is the same age.
