On the 2nd, as nominee Yong Hye-in arrived at the confirmation hearing preparation office set up at the Korea Youth Activity Promotion Agency in Seodaemun District, Seoul, she said, "A confirmation hearing is not something you do alone, but a place to communicate with the people," adding, "I will share many thoughts during that process and prepare for the hearing."

When asked about her thoughts on abolishing supplementary investigation authority, she said, "I understand that many women are concerned."
Nominee Yong said, "I will listen to voices from the field to ensure that victims' rights and interests are not violated during the supplementary investigation or reinvestigation process."

She expressed support for introducing abortion medication.
"The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family believes that the medication should be introduced to guarantee women's right to health even before the law is amended, and I agree with that position," nominee Yong said. "If I become minister, I will swiftly complete the introduction of the medication and address the related legislative gap." Photo and video by Seo Dong-il.
