Baemin to Launch 'Time Sale' in Busan, Daegu, Daejeon and Gwangju

[Financial News] Baedal Minjok is introducing its 'Time Sale' service in major metropolitan cities following its rollout in the Seoul metropolitan area.
According to industry sources on the 2nd, Baemin will expand the service area for Time Sale from the 16th to Seoul, Incheon Metropolitan City, Gyeonggi Province, Busan, Daegu, Daejeon, Ulsan and Gwangju.
Time Sale allows customers to receive discounts of up to 12,000 won per order if they place an order within a set period after accessing the Baemin app. The expansion is intended to attract new customers by broadening the service area.
When customers access the app, participating restaurants they have not ordered from in the past three months appear in a pop-up. Customers receive the discount if they complete an order within 15 minutes of the restaurant being displayed. Time Sale operates through voluntary participation by restaurant owners.
According to Baemin, customers who placed orders using Time Sale from June through August received an average discount of 24%.
The average number of daily orders at participating restaurants increased by 56.1% compared with the period before Time Sale was introduced, while average daily sales rose by 64.5%.
Baemin also provides relevant data so restaurant owners can directly assess the effectiveness of Time Sale. They can review metrics such as the number of Time Sale impressions, clicks, orders and order values, and adjust the discount amount and operating methods accordingly.
