Global Luxury Hotel Brand 'Aman' to Enter South Korea, Sets Sights on Cheongdam-dong

[Financial News] Shinsegae Property, a comprehensive real estate developer, will introduce the world-renowned luxury hospitality brand Aman to Seoul. Aman operates hotels and resorts in major cities around the world, including Tokyo and New York City.
According to the real estate industry on the 2nd, Aman Seoul will be built around Lots 52-3 and 52-7 in Cheongdam-dong. The project will comprise eight basement levels and 38 floors above ground, with a total floor area of approximately 70,000 square meters. It will include a hotel, 49 residences, and retail and cultural spaces.
As the developer, Shinsegae Property will oversee the entire project, including planning, strategy development, and construction. Aman will participate as a partner in the architecture, design, and overall operations.
The collaboration is part of an agreement signed in July by Shinsegae Group and OKO Group to establish a joint venture. OKO Group is responsible for developing Aman Group-branded hotels and residential facilities. Chung Yong-jin, chairman of Shinsegae Group, and Vlad Doronin, chairman of Aman Group, have also continued their strategic partnership in luxury hospitality and real estate development.
Aman Seoul will be developed as an “urban sanctuary,” reflecting Aman’s distinctive identity centered on spaciousness, complete privacy, and relaxation. The project is planned as a lifestyle destination featuring a hotel that captures Seoul’s appeal, branded residences, and Aman Club, a global members-only community. Aman Seoul will be the brand’s next project following those in Tokyo, New York City, and Bangkok. Chung said, “We will continue to create innovative spatial value based on our differentiated capabilities in space development.”
