Daegwallyeong Music Festival’s “Four Seasons of Gangwon: Autumn” to Be Held in Sokcho on October 15

【Financial News Chuncheon = Reporter Kim Ki-seop】 Acclaimed musicians, including world-renowned cellist Sung-Won Yang, will present an intensive chamber music program in Sokcho.
According to the Gangwon Art & Culture Foundation on the 2nd, the Daegwallyeong Music Festival’s planned performance, Four Seasons of Gangwon: Autumn, will be held at the Sokcho Culture and Arts Center at 7 p.m. on October 15. The concert, the third installment of this year’s Four Seasons of Gangwon series, will feature cellist Sung-Won Yang, artistic director of Music in PyeongChang; pianist Enrico Pace; violinist Ji-Yoon Lee, who served as concertmaster of the PyeongChang Festival Orchestra this year; and violist Soo Min Lee. They will create a chamber music program by engaging with one another through contrasting timbres and musical languages.
The program will include Bartók’s “Romanian Folk Dances for Cello and Piano,” Kodály’s “Duo for Violin and Cello,” and Brahms’ “Piano Quartet No. 1.” The musicians will interpret these works, in which folk colors intersect with Romantic lyricism, through a delicate ensemble performance.
Tickets will go on sale at 2 p.m. on the 2nd through the Daegwallyeong Music Festival website and NOL Ticket. Prices are 60,000 won for R seats and 30,000 won for S seats. Gangwon residents, elementary, middle, high school, and university students, people with disabilities, and national merit recipients can receive various benefits, including a 50% discount for up to two tickets per person.
