Export-Import Bank of Korea Hosts Policy Finance Briefing for Government Officials from 29 Countries

[Financial News] The Export-Import Bank of Korea (KEXIM) hosted a policy finance briefing at its headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, inviting trainees from the KDI School of Public Policy and Management’s Global Leadership Program (GLP).
According to KEXIM on the 2nd, the KDI School of Public Policy and Management’s Global Leadership Program is an international training course launched in 2010 in connection with the Group of Twenty (G20) Seoul Summit. It was designed to share Korea’s development experience and key policy expertise with mid- and senior-level policy practitioners in the public sector.
Thirty-four government officials responsible for fiscal, diplomatic, and industrial policies from 29 countries attended KEXIM’s policy finance briefing. The participants included representatives from major G20 member countries such as Argentina, Australia, Indonesia, and Brazil.
Beginning with an introduction to its role and functions, KEXIM explained its comprehensive policy finance system, including export finance, supply-chain cooperation involving critical minerals, and its investment finance programs and support cases.
Participants continued to ask questions and exchange views, particularly about cases in which KEXIM used various financial products to help build infrastructure in emerging markets and support supply-chain stabilization.
KEXIM has held regular business briefings for global trainees since 2022 through close cooperation with the KDI School of Public Policy and Management.
A KEXIM official said, "At this briefing, we shared KEXIM’s extensive policy finance experience with key personnel from foreign governments." The official added, "As Korea’s representative policy finance institution, we will continue to strengthen our role as a financial diplomacy hub connecting Korea with the world."
