Gangseo-gu Chief Park Sang-jun Meets Local Small Business Cooperatives to Hear Their Concerns

[Financial News] Park Sang-jun, chief of Gangseo-gu, Busan, met with small and medium-sized enterprise cooperatives in the district to hear about difficulties they face in the field.
The Busan-Ulsan Regional Headquarters of the Korea Federation of SMEs said on the 2nd that the meeting was attended by Park, district officials and the chairpersons of about 10 industry-specific cooperatives based in the area.
The meeting was organized to convey the voices of local small and medium-sized businesses on issues affecting them. Key topics included improving the criteria for calculating road occupancy fees for routes used by small and medium-sized enterprises, excluding the Seobusang Distribution District from the application of special provisions for administrative procedures, and allocating a site for the construction of a joint logistics center for machinery and parts manufacturers.
Heo Hyeon-do, chairman of the Busan-Ulsan Council of the Korea Federation of SMEs, emphasized, "The competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises depends not only on their internal efforts but also to a great extent on the local business environment, including roads and transportation, available sites, labor and administrative support." He added, "Please examine carefully the issues discussed today."
