Hyundai Rotem Company to Provide Eco Plant Partners with Work Opportunities and Financial Support

[Financial News] Hyundai Rotem Company announced on July 2 that it will pursue mutually beneficial cooperation with partner companies in its Eco Plant (EP) business division. The company plans to provide support ranging from securing work opportunities to reducing interest rates.
Hyundai Rotem Company said that it held the EP Win-Win Cooperation Conference the previous day at its Dangjin plant in Dangjin-si, Chungcheongnam-do. Employees of Hyundai Rotem Company and representatives of 30 EP business partners attended the event and reaffirmed their commitment to a long-term partnership.
First, Hyundai Rotem Company will help secure work opportunities for its partner companies. It will give companies that have participated in only certain projects opportunities to bid for other projects and support their participation in a range of businesses, including smart logistics, mobility, production facilities, airport facilities, steelmaking, and industrial infrastructure. The scope of transactions will also expand to include hydrogen facilities, port transport robots, and E&M (electrical and mechanical) work for railway projects.
Hyundai Rotem Company will also provide financial support to strengthen the foundation for its partners’ sustainable growth. It plans to increase investment in the EP business division by more than threefold over the next five years to generate a trickle-down effect. Across all business divisions, the company will operate a KRW 150 billion win-win growth fund this year to reduce interest rates, while providing interest-rate reductions totaling KRW 1.5 trillion in cooperation with Shinhan Bank and the Export-Import Bank of Korea. Interest-rate support through the fund and banks was also applied to the Defense and Rail Solution win-win programs previously launched by the company.
Hyundai Rotem Company will also strengthen technology protection by systematizing its technology-data request process and providing security licenses free of charge. It will offer specialized consulting for in-house technology security assessments and improvement measures, while expanding training programs for partner-company employees at Hyundai Rotem Company’s specialized technical training center.
The company has introduced a new rewards program for safety management. At the conference, five outstanding partner companies received awards. Companies will be selected through semiannual safety evaluations, and incentives such as prize money based on the size of the workforce deployed and exemptions from contract-performance guarantee bonds will be provided.
