[Financial News] Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water) is connecting startups, investors, and experts in the climate tech and water industry sectors to explore ways for technology commercialization and investment cooperation. K-water announced on the 2nd that it will hold the '2026 Climate Tech Innovation Forum' at 2 p.m. on the 3rd at the Town Hall on the 3rd floor of Tipstown in Yuseong District, Daejeon.
This forum was organized in conjunction with the '2026 Startup Korea Investment Week,' a startup event in the Daejeon region. Climate tech startups, investors, and experts from industry, academia, and research will participate to share strategies for building a cooperative ecosystem for the related industry.
The global climate technology market is projected to grow to approximately 200 trillion won by 2032. K-water explained that climate technology and the water industry are emerging as future industries in the process of responding to climate change and transitioning to carbon neutrality.
The forum consists of three sessions: expert lectures, presentations by innovative companies, and panel discussions.
In the first part of the expert lectures, K-water, the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Holdings, and others will present plans to respond to climate change in the era of carbon neutrality and foster the climate tech industry. Plans for establishing a Mega Water Cluster and a startup ecosystem will also be covered.
Part 2 features climate tech startups SuperBin and Carbon Energy. They will introduce their experiences in attracting investment and case studies of preparing for an initial public offering (IPO), and share newly emerging carbon-neutral market opportunities in the AI infrastructure industry.
In the third panel discussion, Professor Kang Shin-hyung of Chungnam National University will chair the session and share opinions with the presenters on the topic, "Climate Tech: What Is the Government's Role?" On-site Q&A will also be conducted using the online participation platform "Slido."
After the official session concludes, a networking session follows where participating companies, investors, and startup representatives discuss potential business and investment collaborations.
Corporate representatives, investors, and related organizations interested in climate tech, the water industry, and deep tech can participate for free. You can register through the pre-registration event menu on the official Startup Korea Investment Week website, and on-site registration is also available on the day of the event.
Han Seong-yong, Head of K-water's Green Infrastructure Division, said, "I hope this forum will be a venue where market experts, innovative companies, and investors come together to lay the foundation for practical cooperation."
