[Financial News] Chung Mong-gyu, president of the Korea Football Association (KFA), who is suspected of unfairly intervening in the process of appointing former national football team coach Hong Myung-bo, appeared before the police.
According to a report by Financial News on the 2nd, the Financial Crime Investigation Unit, Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency summoned Chairman Chung Mong-gyu this morning as a suspect to question him on charges including obstruction of business.
The police are expected to question Chung Mong-gyu about whether he was involved in the Korea Football Association's process of recommending candidates for the national team coach and making a final appointment.
