HUG Named Exemplary Institution for Gender-Equal Employment in Busan, Only One Among Relocated Public Institutions

[Financial News] Korea Housing & Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG), headed by President Choe In-ho, was the only public institution among those relocated to Busan to be selected as an exemplary institution for gender-equal employment. It received a certification plaque at the Gender Equality Week commemorative event held at Busan City Hall on the 1st.
Busan Metropolitan City Government selects companies each year as exemplary institutions for gender-equal employment if they ensure equal employment opportunities and treatment for men and women and take the lead in supporting work-family balance.
In this year's evaluation, HUG was recognized for expanding the hiring of women through nondiscriminatory blind recruitment.
It also received high marks for continuously strengthening Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) training and women's leadership programs to foster a mutually respectful and inclusive organizational culture.
In addition, HUG was highly rated for establishing customized attendance and leave policies, including support for maternity leave, to provide practical protection for mothers.
The organization also operates various childcare support programs, including expanding and running an on-site daycare center to improve employees' focus at work and reduce their childcare burden.
HUG President Choe In-ho said, "This award is the result of an organizational culture that all our members have built together." He added, "Going forward, we will work to become a public institution that leads a culture supporting both work and family, so that everyone can demonstrate their capabilities regardless of gender and improve their focus on work."
