BNK Busan Bank Gallery to Host Series of Exhibitions Featuring Photography, Fashion and Traditional Crafts

[Financial News] Busan Bank announced on the 2nd that it will hold a series of exhibitions at the BNK Busan Bank Gallery in Sinchang-dong, showcasing works from various fields, including photography, fashion and traditional crafts.
Jeong Geum-hee’s solo exhibition, “Someone Is in the Wind,” running through the 8th, will feature more than 30 photographs the artist took while traveling through the Tibetan cultural region from 2009 to 2023. Through traces left by the “wind”—fluttering flags and fabric, smoke and light—the works tell stories about humanity and nature, as well as moments of memory, aspiration and life.
Park Hyun-woo’s solo exhibition, “I Was in India for a Month,” will follow from the 9th to the 16th. It will present more than 40 works depicting people, places and scenes from everyday life encountered during travels through Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi, Jaipur and New Delhi. Objects collected firsthand in India will also be displayed, offering a more vivid account of the time and memories the artist experienced there.
From the 17th to the 19th, the Busan branch of the Korea Apparel Technology Promotion Association will welcome visitors to its eighth exhibition, “Identity—Wearing Individuality.” The exhibition will show how textiles, colors, materials and silhouettes come together as works of art through pieces that express individual sensibilities, tastes and life stories through clothing.
From the 22nd to the 29th, the Busan branch of the Korea Masters Association will hold its 13th exhibition of traditional cultural and regional masterpieces. Works by masters and apprentices from various fields—including traditional Korean hwa-hye footwear, jiseung crafts made by twisting and weaving hanji paper, mother-of-pearl lacquerware, traditional hanbok, textile art and hanbok dolls—will be presented together, highlighting the beauty of Korea’s traditional culture and the spirit of craftsmanship.
A Busan Bank representative said, “We hope this will be a time when works from different fields, including photography, fashion and traditional crafts, offer citizens new perspectives and enjoyment.” The representative added, “We will continue to support the creative activities of local artists and expand opportunities for citizens to enjoy culture and the arts close to home.”
