[Financial News] As corporate rehabilitation and bankruptcy filings rise rapidly, Barun Law LLC will share legal response strategies aimed at restoring companies and protecting creditors’ rights.
Barun Law LLC announced on the 2nd that it will host an online webinar at 2 p.m. on the 16th titled “Legal Response Strategies in an Era of Surging Rehabilitation and Bankruptcy Filings—Focusing on an Analysis of the Latest Systems and Practical Cases.”
According to court statistics, corporate rehabilitation filings rose by approximately 84% in four years, from 717 in 2021 to 1,321 last year. A total of 731 filings were submitted in the first half of this year. Bankruptcy filings more than doubled over the same period, increasing from 955 to 2,282, and reached 1,299 in the first half of this year alone.
Barun Law LLC organized the webinar as the importance of proactive legal responses grows amid worsening corporate liquidity crises. Such responses are needed not only to facilitate the rapid rehabilitation of debtor companies, but also to preserve creditors’ rights and improve the prospects of recovering outstanding claims.
The webinar will address key issues that companies and creditors may face in actual insolvency proceedings, along with possible response measures, through presentations by experts from Barun Law LLC’s Rehabilitation and Bankruptcy Team.
In the first session, the head of the Rehabilitation and Bankruptcy Team will present “Game Changers in Rehabilitation and Bankruptcy Proceedings: Practical Strategies for Avoidance Rights and Rights of Recovery.” The session will examine key practical issues and response strategies concerning avoidance rights and rights of recovery, which directly affect whether property is restored and how rights are structured in rehabilitation and bankruptcy proceedings.
A lawyer will then explain recent changes to restructuring systems and ways to use them in a presentation titled “Pre-Autonomous Restructuring Support (ARS), Hybrid Restructuring, and Creditor-Led M&A Plans.” Another lawyer will present practical response measures for creditors to consider during insolvency proceedings in a session titled “Practical Response Strategies for Creditors to Maximize Claim Recovery Rates.”
A question-and-answer session will follow the presentations, moderated by a lawyer.
Drawing on its accumulated practical experience in corporate restructuring and rehabilitation and bankruptcy cases, Barun Law LLC’s Rehabilitation and Bankruptcy Team plans to focus on sharing response measures that corporate legal and claims-management personnel can apply in their day-to-day work.
