Small Enterprise and Market Service Appoints Hong Seok-cheon and Others as Honorary Directors to Hear Small Business Owners’ Voices

[Financial News] The Small Enterprise and Market Service introduced an honorary director system and held an appointment ceremony to reflect small business owners’ opinions in its policies and institutional management.
According to the Small Enterprise and Market Service on the 2nd, the system was established to hear a range of views from the private sector by appointing external figures with expertise and field experience related to small businesses and local commercial districts as honorary directors.
The Small Enterprise and Market Service appointed broadcaster Hong Seok-cheon, who has contributed to revitalizing the Itaewon neighborhood commercial district in Seoul, as well as Ryu Eun-hye, a French government-certified cultural interpreter; Kim Hyeon-seong, an adviser to the National AI Strategy Committee; Kim Eun-hee, director of the Citizens’ Coalition for Creating Walkable Cities; Yang Jun-ho, co-chair of the National Network for Regional Circular Economy; and Shin Gyu-cheol, head of education at the Korea Federation of Micro Merchants and Self-Employed Workers, as honorary directors.
They will serve as a bridge between small-business policies and conditions in the field, while continuing various activities based on their expertise and experience.
In Tae-yeon, president of the Small Enterprise and Market Service, said, "Together with the honorary directors, we will listen broadly to voices from the field and connect expertise and experience from various sectors with small-business policies."
