[Financial News] Samsung Electronics will showcase an artificial intelligence (AI) experience that extends beyond home appliances and mobile devices to encompass all aspects of daily life at 'IFA 2026,' Europe's largest consumer electronics exhibition.
Samsung Electronics announced on the 2nd that it will operate an exhibition booth under the theme "Your companion to AI Living" at the Humboldt Carré convention center in the center of Berlin, Germany, from the 2nd to the 6th, ahead of the opening of IFA 2026.
The core of this exhibition is 'AI Living,' which goes beyond the existing 'AI Home' to encompass all aspects of daily life, including leisure and health management. Samsung Electronics plans to present a human-centered AI experience where AI provides tangible convenience and benefits tailored to people's lifestyles and needs, rather than focusing solely on the technology itself.
The entrance to the exhibition hall is designed in the form of a 'Portal' that leads visitors to a new dimension. After passing through the portal, visitors can experience Samsung Electronics' AI technology and products in three themed spaces: Entertainment Companion, Home Companion, and Self-Care Companion.
Benjamin Brown, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Samsung Electronics Europe, said, "AI must provide meaningful benefits that people can see and feel in their daily lives," adding, "At IFA 2026, we will showcase examples of applying AI in practical and accessible ways across the entertainment, mobile, and connected home ecosystems."
Samsung Electronics is showcasing products featuring next-generation display technology in the Entertainment Companion Zone, based on its technological leadership as the No. 1 global TV market leader for 20 consecutive years.
'Micro RGB,' a next-generation TV technology, is characterized by its ability to precisely express color, contrast, and clarity by utilizing microscopic RGB (red, green, and blue) LEDs.
The 2026 TV lineup features the 'Vision AI Companion.' Based on conversational AI, it recommends personalized content and provides context-appropriate information without interrupting the viewing flow.
In addition, the world's first 42-inch curved OLED gaming monitor, the 'Odyssey G7 (G75SJ)', provides an immersive gaming experience through its large screen and 4K OLED picture quality.

The Home Companion Zone showcases AI home appliances that enhance energy saving and space efficiency.
The 'Bespoke AI Family Hub' refrigerator automatically recognizes ingredients and suggests suitable recipes using camera-based 'AI Vision' technology. It also allows users to check and control the power consumption of connected appliances in real time using the large touchscreen.
In the kitchen, they are showcasing a 'hood-integrated induction cooktop' that automatically absorbs odors and smoke generated during cooking without a separate hood, and a 'built-in dishwasher' that harmonizes with surrounding furniture.
The hood-integrated induction cooktop integrates the fan and filter into the unit, allowing for a cooking space to be configured without the need for a separate ceiling-mounted hood. The built-in dishwasher saves 20% more energy than Europe's highest energy efficiency rating of Grade A and offers an 'AI Custom Wash' function that optimizes water and energy usage by detecting the level of soiling on the dishes.
The company also emphasizes energy-saving technology in its clothing care product line. The 'Bespoke AI Washing Machine' utilizes a high-efficiency inverter motor to regulate motor operation based on the condition of the laundry and balance the load during the spin cycle, thereby reducing energy consumption. According to Samsung Electronics, it can save 70% more energy than the European Energy Efficiency Grade A standard.

In the Self-Care Companion Zone, the AI experience is expanded into the mobile realm by showcasing new Galaxy products.
Specifically, it will exhibit the Galaxy S26 FE, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Watch Ultra2, Galaxy Watch9, etc.
The 'Galaxy S26 FE', launching on the 4th, can also be experienced on-site. Based on the latest software 'One UI 9', it supports 'My FanCam', a portrait-focused editing feature, and 'Super Steady', a horizontal stabilization feature.
The 'Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra' focuses on multitasking utilizing its large screen. It is suitable for productivity tasks such as document creation, data verification, and content production, and despite its high specifications, it weighs 215g. When unfolded, its thickness is 4.1mm, making it the thinnest in the history of the Galaxy Z Fold series.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 features a 193.2mm main screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio when unfolded and a 138.4mm cover screen with a 10:16 aspect ratio when folded. Weighing 201g, it is the lightest in the history of the Galaxy Z Fold series and is equipped with a 4,800mAh battery and a 50-megapixel dual camera.
