Jeong Eun-bo, Chairman of the Korea Exchange, Discusses South Korean Stock Market with CalPERS, the Largest U.S. Public Pension Fund

[Financial News] Eunbo Jeong, chairman of the Korea Exchange, met with the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS), the largest public pension fund in the United States, to hear its views on South Korea's capital market and promote the country's investment appeal.
According to the Korea Exchange on the 2nd, Jeong met with Stephen Gilmore, CalPERS' chief investment officer (CIO), in Sacramento, California, on the 1st local time.
CalPERS is the largest public pension fund in the United States, with approximately 2.4 million members.
During the meeting, Jeong heard the views and areas of interest of a global long-term investor regarding South Korea's capital market. He also explained the progress made in capital-market reforms pursued by the government and the Korea Exchange, as well as the investment appeal of the South Korean market.
Jeong said, "We will continue communicating with major global pension funds, including CalPERS, and other long-term investors to deepen their understanding of and interest in South Korea's capital market while actively promoting the investment appeal of our market."
Meanwhile, Jeong is visiting the United States to participate in the New York Global Roadshow and sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), among other activities.
