[Financial News] Standard Chartered Bank Korea Limited will offer individual customers a 90% preferential exchange rate on overseas remittances through November 30.
The offer is available to all individual customers who use Standard Chartered Bank Korea Limited's mobile or internet banking services for overseas remittances. Customers can receive the 90% preferential exchange-rate benefit for all payment currencies, including the U.S. dollar (USD), euro (EUR), and Japanese yen (JPY).
Customers who meet the event requirements will also receive mobile coupons for a Dunkin' Donuts and coffee set. Customers who have not used Standard Chartered Bank Korea Limited's mobile or internet banking services for overseas remittances for a certain period can receive one additional set of the same prize when they make an overseas remittance during the event period. Including the additional prizes for new users, a total of 555 event coupons will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. The event may end early once all prepared coupons have been distributed.
Standard Chartered Bank Korea Limited's mobile and internet banking overseas remittance service permanently waives overseas remittance fees. However, intermediary or recipient banks may charge separate fees. The service is available 24 hours a day, except on Saturdays and public holidays, allowing customers to send money overseas at their convenience without visiting a branch.
Jang Hyeong-chan, head of Standard Chartered Bank Korea Limited's digital division, said, "We organized this event so that more customers can use overseas remittance services more easily and conveniently through mobile and internet banking, while also reducing the cost burden associated with overseas remittances." He added, "We will continue expanding our digital overseas remittance services to meet customers' needs."
