[Financial News] Actor Jung Il-woo has donated to Good Neighbors to help residents and children in the flood-affected areas of Nepal. The donation will be used for emergency relief to support displaced people and protect children in affected regions such as Nuwakot and Gorkha.
According to Good Neighbors on the 2nd, Jung Il-woo formed a connection with the organization through the filming of the Madagascar episode of Korean Broadcasting System (KBS)'s 'Love Across the Sea.' Last May, he participated as the ceremonial first pitcher at 'Good Neighbors Day' held at Changwon NC Park and also donated his talent for online campaign narration.
The local emergency relief response team began operations immediately after the floods and landslides occurred. Since August 28, they have been distributing food, daily necessities, and hygiene supplies to flood victims in Nuwakot, while also establishing child-friendly spaces and providing psychosocial support for affected children.
With this donation, Jung Il-woo will also join 'The Neighbors Club,' a special membership group of Good Neighbors. This group consists of members who donate 10 million won or more annually and have contributed to the spread of a culture of giving through special sharing activities.
Jung Il-woo said, "I want to be of even a small help to the local residents and children affected by the sudden flood," adding, "I sincerely hope that the affected areas will be restored as soon as possible and that they can return to their peaceful daily lives."
Jeon Mi-seon, Secretary General of Good Neighbors, said, "We will do our best on the ground to ensure that necessary help reaches children and local residents in the affected areas and that their daily lives can be restored."
