Manhattan 'Random' Attack Victim Identified as BofA Vice President; Now in Critical Condition

A Bank of America (BofA) vice president was stabbed in an apparently random attack at Times Square in Manhattan, New York. She is reportedly in critical condition.
According to The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) and other foreign media outlets on the 1st (local time), Erin Piacenti, 32, a BofA vice president in its Global Corporate and Investment Bank division who resides in New Jersey, was attacked the previous afternoon by a woman armed with a knife. A man was also stabbed.
New York City Police Department (NYPD) Commissioner Jessica Tisch said the attack was likely "random and indiscriminate" and did not appear to have targeted a specific person.
While Vice President Piacenti suffered life-threatening injuries, the 68-year-old man who was also stabbed is reportedly in stable condition.
The suspect, 49-year-old Pamela Cisneros, was subdued after being struck by a police Taser and shot by officers, but died after being taken to a hospital. Two large knives were found when she was apprehended.
