"Its Market Value Rose by 500 Million Won in Two Years"—Lee Ji-hye’s YouTube Producer Reveals Newlywed Home

[Financial News] Broadcaster Lee Ji-hye visited her producer’s newlywed home in Seoul, whose market value rose by approximately 500 million won in two years.
On the 31st of last month, the YouTube channel "Mipji Aneun Gwanjong Eonni" uploaded a video showing Lee Ji-hye and her husband, Moon Jaewan, visiting producer Kim Eun-jung’s newlywed home. Kim has worked with the couple for four years.
In a video titled "Full Reveal of the Seoul 56-Pyeong Apartment Bought by Lee Ji-hye’s YouTube Producer, Including 100 Million Won in Interior Renovations," Kim and her husband said they purchased the apartment for 930 million won two years ago. They had taken out a 600 million won loan at the time.
Kim said she and her husband began married life in a jeonse home worth 300 million won, using 100 million won each that they had saved. She explained that they saved another 100 million won over the following two years of marriage.
When Kim said, "After saving money, I visited tax accountant Moon Jaewan for advice," Moon said, "I advised them to make the purchase no matter what, using as much financing as possible within their means."
Regarding the apartment’s current market value, Moon said, "I checked the prices, and it seemed to be worth around 1.3 billion to 1.4 billion won." Compared with the purchase price two years ago, its value has risen by approximately 400 million to 500 million won.
Moon said, "Because the interior was also newly renovated, it could be valued even more highly," adding, "I recommend saving more money, selling this home, and moving to nearby Mokdong Apartment Complex 11 or 12."
Online commenters responded, "It’s extraordinary for newlyweds to choose a 56-pyeong apartment as their first home," and "It’s also impressive that the two of them saved 330 million won in just a few years," among other reactions.
