Man in His 60s Sent to Trial for Killing Acquaintance with Knife at Nowon District Go game hall

[Financial News] A man who fatally attacked an acquaintance with a knife at a Go game hall in Nowon District, Seoul, has been indicted while in custody.
According to the legal community on the 1st, Criminal Division 2 of the Seoul Northern District Prosecutors' Office, led by Chief Prosecutor Kim Garam, indicted the 60-year-old man, identified by his surname Jeon, on murder charges while he remained in custody.
Jeon is accused of getting into an argument with a man in his 60s, who was an acquaintance, at a Go game hall in Gongneung-dong, Nowon District, at around 10:45 p.m. on the 8th of last month and then stabbing him to death.
Jeon was intoxicated at the time of the attack. The victim was taken to a hospital after receiving emergency treatment, but later died.
Earlier, the Seoul Northern District Court, presided over by Judge Park Sarang, held a pre-arrest detention hearing for Jeon on the 10th of last month and issued an arrest warrant, citing concerns over evidence destruction and flight risk. The Seoul Nowon Police Station, which investigated the case, sent Jeon to prosecutors in custody on the 14th of the same month.
