[Financial News] A story shared online by a woman in her 20s said she felt uncomfortable after her boyfriend said he wanted to get a waxing treatment from a female waxer.
On August 30 last month, a post titled "I Don't Like That My Boyfriend Wants to Get Waxed" was uploaded to an online community.

A woman in her 20s, identified as A, who has been dating her boyfriend for seven months, said she has regularly gotten waxing treatments for hygiene reasons. When the time came for her next appointment, she told her boyfriend, and he started looking for places that offered couple waxing, saying, "I want to go with you too."
When A said she wanted to go alone, her boyfriend replied, "Then I'll go by myself," and began looking for waxing salons near their home and workplace. However, most of the places he found were run by female waxers.
A said, "I really don't want him to be treated by a woman, so I told him to go to a place with a male waxer. But he says, 'How can I do that in front of a man? I really don't like that.' How should I stop him?"

Online reactions to the story were divided. Some sympathized with A's concerns, saying, "I don't understand why he would insist on being treated by a female waxer even though his girlfriend said she doesn't like it."

On the other hand, others said, "Men may feel a stronger sense of discomfort about entrusting their bodies to another man," and "Who you let handle your body is a matter you should decide for yourself," arguing that it was the boyfriend's choice.
