Smoke and Odor Reported at Seoul National University Station on Line 2; Service Briefly Ran Through Without Stopping Before Returning to Normal

[Financial News] Smoke and an odor were reported at Seoul National University Station on Seoul Subway Line 2, prompting trains in both directions to pass through the station without stopping for a time.
According to Seoul Metro and fire authorities on the 1st, a report came in at around 1:26 p.m. that smoke was coming from near an escalator at Seoul National University Station.
To check for a fire, Seoul Metro began having trains on both the inner and outer lines pass through Seoul National University Station without stopping from around 1:40 p.m. Service returned to normal about 10 minutes later.
So far, no signs of a fire, such as flames, have been found, and no injuries have been reported.
Seoul Metro and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the incident.
