Meritz Securities said it officially launched the new financial platform MOUM on the 1st at the 'MOUM launch event' held at Fairmont Ambassador Seoul in Yeouido, Seoul.
MOUM is a platform that Meritz Securities spent about 18 months developing. It combines the stock trading functions of its existing mobile trading system with investment information, a global community, and AI services.
Users can access key services without a separate login, and those who sign in through social media can participate in community activities as associate members. If they link Meritz Securities' online-only comprehensive investment account, the Super365 Account, they are upgraded to full members and can view stock trading, holdings-related information, and AI analysis on a single screen.
One of its core features is a global investment community where users can view opinions from investors in Korea and abroad together. Meritz Securities connected MOUM's own stock community with the U.S. social investing platform Stocktwits and the community of global fintech company Webull. This allows domestic investors to check foreign investors' opinions and market reactions in real time.
The platform also includes investment information features powered by finance-specific AI. Once an account is linked, users can view news, community posts, and alerts related to their holdings and watchlist, along with AI analysis. The AI summarizes key points from company earnings, news, and reports, and users can explore additional questions through AI chat.
MOUM was built as a cloud-based open platform. Meritz Securities said it developed the platform in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and was selected as a global best practice by AWS under the 'Win-Wires' program, the first Korean financial company to receive the recognition.
Lee Jang-wook, executive vice president in charge of Meritz Securities' InnoBiz Division, said, "MOUM was designed to go beyond the typical trading app offered by securities firms." He added, "The goal is not simply to add one AI feature, but to evolve into a next-generation open platform where a wide range of services are organically connected."
Jang Won-jae, CEO of Meritz Securities, said, "MOUM is a platform designed to help individual investors use the company's accumulated financial expertise and diverse investment information more easily and conveniently."
